RDA Bulgarian Node

The RDA Bulgarian National Node aims to support and coordinate participation of Bulgarian institutions, organisations and individual members in the Research Data Alliance.It is a national RDA node established to act as a long-term central contact point between the Research Data Alliance and data practitioners, funding organizations, research agencies and other relevant stakeholders in Bulgaria. Serving Bulgarian researchers and research organisations, it aims to provide them proper guidance and support in order to meet Research Data Management (RDM) requirements of the European research programs.

The RDA Node Bulgaria is coordinated by Sofia University, Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics. The RDA Node Bulgaria aims to cooperate and collaborate with all interested stakeholders from Bulgaria, such as relevant institutions and research data infrastructures, individual researchers, research organisations, companies and other interested partners.

COVID-19 Data Portal - Accelerating research through data sharing

The COVID-19 Data Portal was launched in April 2020 to bring together relevant datasets for sharing and analysis in an effort to accelerate coronavirus research. It enables researchers to upload, access and analyse COVID-19 related reference data and specialist datasets as part of the wider European COVID-19 Data Platform. 
 

A ZOOM Meeting of the core group of the RDA BG node on 22nd of April, 2020

On 22nd of April 2020, the RDA BG node working group will make a ZOOM meeting in order to discuss and plan the next steps of the RDA node activities in Bulgaria.

More specifically, the team will set up the next steps for the organisation of the National RDA Seminar.

The group will analyze the new requirements of the situation and will suggest new activities and recommendations.

RDA COVID19 Case Statement

A newly established Working Group has set twofold objectives:

  1. to clearly define detailed guidelines on data sharing under the present COVID-19 circumstances to help stakeholders follow best practices to maximize the efficiency of their work
  2. to develop guidelines for policymakers to maximise timely data sharing and appropriate responses in such health emergencies.
