On 13 February 2020 in Sofia University Conference Hall took place the Kick-off Meeting of the Research Data Alliance – Bulgaria Node under the coordination of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics (FMI). It was attended by more than 30 representatives of the Bulgarian academic and research community among which were the Deputy Minister of Education and Science Mrs. Karina Angelieva and experts from the Ministry of Education and Science, as well as the Director of the National Centre for Information and Documentation (NCID) Mrs.
The case of Bulgarian RDA-Europe supported project is presented in the blog series of RDA, aiming to introduce the eight Adoption Grant cases supported in 2019, giving an overview of their project remits and demonstrating the practical approaches organisations can take when looking to implement the RDA’s Recommendations & Outputs.
The Bulgarian RDA node opening conference will be held on 13 of February 2020 at 13.00 in the Conference Hall in Sofia University main Building.
The main focus of the conference will be to present the activities and the main principles of the Research DATA Alliance, and to discuss its mission to facilitate and encourage research data sharing and data-driven innovations in a global perspective.
On 21st of March 2020, the Bulgarian RDA node will organize a conference session dedicated on "Development of Open Science in Bulgaria - challenges and perspectives".
It will be held during the traditional Spring conference of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics.
