Invitation to take part in New Groups Community Review

 

It has been a busy start to 2025 for RDA Groups! 

There are 6 new Groups and 1 new Recommendation currently open for Community Review.

We need your feedback! The RDA calls on its community to review the following Group Statements of Work and Recommendations.

New Groups

  • GORC International Implementations Working Group (GORC II WG)

    Supported by the RDA TIGER project, The Global Open Research Commons International Implementations Working Group (GORC II WG) will enhance and maintain the recommendations and outputs from the GORC International Model WG (GORC IM WG).

  • Data Steward Career Tracks Working Group

    The Data Steward Career Tracks Working Group aims to develop a methodology for creating data steward personas as well as a sample set of data steward personas that are linked into a sample career track.

    Community review open until February 11, 2025.  Leave your feedback.

     

  • National Data Services Interest Group

    The RDA is the natural venue to enable National Data Services to meet, learn from mutual challenges and exchange ideas about aims, organisation and practices. This Interest Group is being renewed to provide a much needed forum for NDS-specific discussions.

  • Mapping the Landscape of Digital Research Tools II (MaLDReTH II) Working Group

    The MaLDReTH II Working Group aims to advance and sustain the digital research tools landscape mapping initiative established by its predecessor.

  • Research Data Policy Interest Group (previously named Data Policy Standardisation and Implementation IG)

    The Research Data Policy IG (formerly the Data Policy Standardisation and Implementation IG) has been renamed and will focus on providing a forum where RDA members can share, collaborate, connect and gain feedback on initiatives related to research data policy.

  • Earth, Space and Environmental Sciences Data Community of Practice

    The Earth, Space and Environmental science (ESES) community is focused on improving data and software management and sharing practices that result in community informatics resources that support researchers. This Community of Practice (CoP) will provide a place for individuals, teams and organisations in the ESES ecosystem to coordinate.

New Recommendations and Outputs

Complex Citations Working Group Recommendation

The RDA Complex Citation Working Group addresses the challenge of citing large numbers of digital objects in scholarly communication by proposing a new approach called Complex Citation Objects (CCOs). This recommendation provides a framework for transparent research, ensuring proper attribution to creators of research data, physical samples, and other digital objects.
