The 2021 edition of International Data Week (IDW 2021) will be held on 8–11 November 2021 in Seoul, South Korea.
IDW 2021 combines the 18th RDA Plenary Meeting (biannual meeting of the Research Data Alliance (RDA), and SciDataCon 2021, the scientific conference addressing the frontiers of data in research organized by Committee on Data (CODATA) and World Data System (WDS).
The theme of the IDW 2021 is DATA TO IMPROVE OUR WORLD.

IDW 2021 will be hosted by the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI), committed by the Ministry of Science and ICT, Seoul Metropolitan Government, National Library of Korea, and National Assembly Library, with the support of the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS), Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine and the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources.
Two previous editions of IDW have taken place to date:
1. IDW 2016, 11–17 September 2016, Denver, Colorado, USA; attended by 840 data professionals and researchers from all disciplines and from across the globe.
2. IDW 2018, 5–8 November 2018, Gaborone, Botswana; attended by more than 850 international data professionals and researchers.
